Jacara Meadows is a one-person business, and this policy is written the way she talks: plainly. Here is what information she collects, why, and what never happens with it.
1. What's collected
- What you give her: your name, phone number, email, order or project details, event address, and allergy notes you share when ordering or booking. That's it — this site has no accounts, no forms, no login.
- Payments: handled by PayPal. Jacara never sees or stores your full card number; PayPal's own privacy statement governs the payment data you give them.
- This website: no analytics, no trackers, no ad pixels. The hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, pages requested) for security, under its own privacy policy.
- Online ordering: the cart on the order page is stored only in your own browser (localStorage) and never sent anywhere until you check out. Checkout runs on PayPal's secure checkout (the PayPal buttons on the order page, or PayPal's own payment page), where PayPal — not this site — collects your payment details under its own privacy statement; PayPal may set cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing. Jacara receives your order details and payment confirmation, never your card number.
2. How it's used
- To fulfill your order or booking, answer your messages, and send written confirmations and invoices.
- To keep the business records a business must keep (invoices, tax records).
- For nothing else. No marketing lists you didn't ask for, no newsletters you didn't sign up for.
3. What never happens
- Your information is never sold or rented — to anyone, for anything.
- It is shared only with the service providers needed to serve you (PayPal for payments) and where the law genuinely requires it.
4. Retention and your choices
Order records are kept as long as tax and business rules require. If you'd like your contact information deleted from Jacara's phone and inbox, ask — using the details on the contact page — and it will be, apart from records the law requires her to keep. You can also ask what information she holds about you; the honest answer will usually be "your name, your number, and what you like from the oven."
5. Children
This site sells nothing online and is not directed at children. Orders are taken from adults; no information is knowingly collected from children under 13.
6. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted plainly at the top.
